The Klapman family was led into the electrical supply business in the early 1900's by Morris Weinstein. Morris was the owner of Capitol Electric Supply until his passing on when Bert Klapman took over the company. Bert's sons and current owners, Michael and Jon Klapman, took interest in the company right away. They worked there from their early teens until Bert's retirement in 1982. Michael and John took their years of knowledge and ventured out on their own and started Morris Electrical Supply Company. After years of competing with the rapidly changing electrical industry and the passing of their father, Michael and Jon decided to downsize the business in 1996 into what you have today, Bert's Electrical Supply Company. Bert's Electric specializes in personalized service. We have the capabilities to efficiently provide same-day deliveries for your orders and always find the items that many people just do not have the time, patience or resources to get themselves . Bert's takes pride in that you may call and speak directly to one of the owners, whether it's to take an order or simply to give directions. You will not get recordings when you call Bert's because we feel that it is more personable to communicate directly with our customers rather than have them speak with machines. Bert's has been involved with many major projects over the years. The Big Dig, the Fleet Center, Putnam Investments in Norwood and Davenport Commons are some of our past jobs, just to name a few. We employ a great staff, with a counter sales department that consists of four salesmen, each having over ten years of knowledge and experience. Bert's looks forward to doing business with you in the future.
